Greetings & Salutations I'm Glen Peter
Melbourne based | London born

Melbourne-based graphic designer and visual artist known for his unobtrusive, simple yet playful approach. His unconventional path into the design world was guided by a deep sense of user empathy and a holistic view of design shaped more by world travel and lived experience than by any deliberate career plan. What began as a natural extension of his creative curiosity evolved into a self-taught journey that defined his distinctive, singular style.

What design belief did you outgrow?

I used to think that good design always meant being minimal. Now, I focus more on communication than aesthetic restraint. If something bold, expressive, or even a little messy helps people “get it” quicker, I’m all for it. Design isn’t about showing off it’s about making things clear, useful, and human.

How do you design for uncertain users?

I like to dig into the why behind what someone’s asking for. A lot of the time, they’re describing surface-level stuff, not the actual issue so I try to understand their goals, pay attention to what’s really frustrating them, and build quick prototypes to get real feedback early. It’s a mix of empathy and playing detective.

How do you stay motivated and inspired

The human touch still matters: empathy, storytelling, intuition. Those are things AI can support, but not fully replicate. It’s less about competing with machines and more about collaborating with them to push ideas further.
